A sailboat beached on the sands of the Ravenglass river estuary at low tide. The small village, where the rivers Mite, Esk and Irt meet before joining the Irish Sea, is located in the Lake District National Park, on the West Cumbrian coast. This area consists of a mixture of sand and salt marshes that are completely flooded at very high tides.
