The view along Crummock Water towards Buttermere. The mountain of Mellbreak rises up from the western shore of the lake with the peaks of Red Pike and High Stile at the head of the lake. A gate in the drystone wall leads to a footpath that guides you around the edge of the lake towards Rannerdale Knott, famous for is display of bluebells each spring.
