Blue Tit Perching on a Tree Stump
WD1807
A blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) sitting on a tree stump. This is one of my favourite birds and I love its colourful blue, white and yellow feathers. They can be difficult to photograph as they rarely stay still and the best time to capture them is when they are feeding from insects on the buds and new leaf growth in spring. The photo was taken from the car window, using the car as a makeshift hide.
