Buttermere Valley
View from Loweswater village towards the Buttermere valley with the snow dusted mountain peaks of Grasmoor, Mellbreak, High Stile and Rannerdale Knott overlooking Crummock Water lake. The lake can be seen just behind the line of trees. The dry stone walls in the fields and grazing sheep are typical of the valleys of the Lake District.
