A Host of Purple and White Crocuses Growing Amongst the Trees

A spring field filled with purple and white crocuses in a beautiful setting between the trees next to a small stream, Kirk Beck. Many Lake District names come from the Norse settlers in the 10th Century with beck meaning stream. The field is in the village of Beckermet, “the meeting place of Kirk Beck and Black Beck”, West Cumbria.
