Snowy Mountains of Wasdale Head from the shore of Wastwater

The shores of the lake and slopes of the fells are covered in a copper layer of grass and bracket that almost glows in the low winter sunshine. The snow covered mountain peaks of Great Gable, Lingmell and Scafell rise over the lake at the head of the valley and Wastwater lake. It is easy to see why Wasdale was voted Britain's favourite view.
